Player Welfare

Keeping youth football safe.

Safeguarding is central to how Junction Elite runs youth football. Families should know how concerns are raised, how standards are set and how the club thinks about player welfare.

Club Commitment

A safe, fun and inclusive environment.

Safeguarding is not just a policy link. It affects how youth information is shown publicly, how coaches and volunteers behave, and how concerns are handled.

Safe Environment

We aim to provide football sessions where children feel safe, included and able to enjoy the game.

Appropriate Access

Youth information, squad visibility and internal records are handled with safeguarding and privacy in mind.

Clear Reporting

Families, players, coaches and staff should have a simple route to raise welfare concerns with the club.

Respectful Conduct

Players, parents, coaches and volunteers are expected to behave in a way that protects the environment around the game.

England Football Recognition

Accredited 2-Star Club

This recognition reflects the club's range of football opportunities and its commitment to creating a safe, fun and inclusive environment for players in the community.

Junction Elite is recognised as an England Football Accredited 2-Star Club.
Safeguarding concerns should be raised with the club as soon as possible.
Youth football is managed with welfare, boundaries and appropriate information access in mind.
Staff and volunteers should follow club expectations around conduct, communication and player welfare.
If a child or young person is in immediate danger, contact emergency services first.
What To Do

Choose the right response.

Different issues need different levels of urgency. The most important thing is that welfare concerns are not ignored.

1

Immediate danger

If someone is at immediate risk of harm, contact emergency services first. Do not wait for a club response.

2

Safeguarding concern

Use the contact route and clearly state that the message is safeguarding related so it can be prioritised.

3

Conduct issue

If the issue is behaviour, communication or matchday conduct, use the complaints route or code of conduct.
